Niagara Falls, Ontario – DSNDP, a global non-profit organization, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Civic Pride Award for its outstanding contributions to community development. Presented by the Niagara Falls Recreation Committee, this award celebrates DSNDP’s remarkable social work, which reflects the transformative leadership of founders Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari.
The Civic Pride Award is one of nine special honors presented annually, recognizing exceptional dedication to community improvement, environmental sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life for Canadians. During the ceremony, Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati, alongside City Council members Mona Patel, Victor Pietrangelo, and Mike Strange, lauded DSNDP’s impactful efforts. The committee representative praised the founders as “unsung heroes,” highlighting how small actions lead to meaningful change.
Ministers Wayne Gates, MPP, and Tony Badinelli, MP, Niagara Falls presented DSNDP with certificates of appreciation. In Canada, DSNDP’s efforts include organizing 500 volunteers to collect over 12,000 pounds of waste, planting 300+ trees, and hosting plasma donation drives. Globally, DSNDP operates in 23 countries, with 7 million followers, having planted 3.67 million trees and removed 275 million pounds of waste. Guided by its motto, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” DSNDP remains dedicated to expanding its reach across North America.
